After the Renaissance, a new way of thinking about life and the world sparked a Scientific Revolution unparalleled in history. God was no longer the father in Heaven who controlled daily life, He had become the creator. Doubt was a side effect of this attitude towards God and life. If God and the church couldn’t provide the complete and whole truth than maybe social norms were open for debate as well. This reasoning opened up a new field of science called the human sciences. This movement was called the Enlightenment and caused the American fight for freedom and the French Revolution.
